Activities & Symptom Trackers

Symptom trackers can be a really helpful way to discover patterns in your symptoms, which can be an important first step in improving how you’re feeling. In Chinese medicine, we like to look at patterns in weather, temperature, time of the day/week/month/year, and more to see how the environment and climate are impacting our health. Tracking things like food, sleep, activity, and other habits is also important to finding clues to what may be contributing to your concerns, too. You can experiment with these trackers to see if you notice any patterns, and they can be a big help at future appointments!

Winter

“The philosophy of winter is conservation and storage.”

— Huang Di Nei Jing

Winter is an invitation to slow down and rest, but this time of year is often busier than ever with all the holidays and end-of-the-year celebrations! It can be a difficult time of year, too, with less light and being stuck inside a lot of the time - I know that I struggle with seasonal blues every year! Chinese medicine views this time of year as a time to gather and restore our energy reserves, so that when spring comes, we have the energy to burst forth - just like seeds sprouting out of the ground.
